Basketball Carnival

Since its emergence, basketball has spread rapidly because of its unique competitiveness, entertainment and enjoyment, which has become one of the three major ball games in the world and is loved by people all over the world who love sports. Therefore, our school attaches special importance to the promotion and development of this sport among students, and hopes to promote the all-round development of students' body and mind, cultivate their sports ability and good social adaptability through basketball. To be specific, at 7.15 AM on 13th May, our school observed the grand opening of the second Basketball Culture Festival, which was attended by all the students of Grade 8, Principal Assistant Hu Qilin, Director Sun Yijun of the Personnel Department, Director Zhang Li of the Teaching Department and other leaders. The opening ceremony was presided over by teacher Dai Yan of the Physical Education Group.

First and foremost, President Assistant Hu Qilin delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony in which he expressed that the festival was held to let students understand the culture of basketball and enhance physical exercise. As is known to all, basketball is not only a sport, but also a spirit. Thus, playing basketball can not only help us to strengthen the body, but can also temper our will so that we can enjoy the vigorous and upward power of youth in sports! Last but not the least, he expressed his expectations and wishes for the Basketball Culture Festival. Afterwards, referee representative Liu Jiayi and athlete representative Zhu Junxi took their oaths respectively, after which the basketball players of each class posed for photos in their uniforms on campus.

Furthermore, with a whistle from the referee, the exciting women's one-minute shot kicked off as the opening match of the Basketball Culture Festival. The sunlight is dancing gently. Additionally, the flying basketball, the smiling faces and the applause formed a perfect picture, which was the most beautiful youth background color!

To put it in a nutshell, the basketball carnival has begun, so come and join us! Moreover, this Basketball Culture Festival is also the best gift for all the students in the west campus to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of our school on 18th May!
